Android client

Installation

The Android client is experimental and currently requires sideloading. An official application is coming soon.

If you do not yet have one, first create an account.

On your Android device, download the Android .apk file from the downloads page.

Open Settings on your phone. Go to Apps & notifications (or just Apps) > Special app access > Install unknown apps.

Select the app you used for downloading (e.g., Chrome) and toggle “Allow from this source”.

Open the downloaded .apk file in your file manager and tap Install.

Once installed, open the Virtue app and log in with your credentials.

That’s it! At this point the app will begin to periodically collect and send events and screenshots in the background. To ensure that the service is functioning properly, log in to the application and you should see a new device in your dashboard. Click on the Logs tab and for your device you should start seeing screenshots. A few screenshots should appear within the first 5-10 minutes, and then batches of images should appear every hour.

Usage

To stop the service, click the sign out button in the app. Note that the service will log an alert when signing out.

To start the service, sign in with your credentials in the app.
